Saturday Afternoon, April 3rd, 2010. 2pm Belltime at the Payne Recreation Center in Moraine, Ohio. It was announced today. NWA East Heroes of Wrestling will be making their home in Moraine, Ohio. Starting in March, We will be at the Moraine Rec Center.
"Moraine was hit the hardest when General Motors pulled out. We have been searching for the perfect place to hold wrestling in the Gem City and we have found it." Chris Lash remarked.
"Out of all the places we have went to look out, this is the place for NWA East Heroes of Wrestling. We hope everyone is ready. The days of sniffing the Flea Market Wrestling is over!" J.L. Thrush proclaimed.

We've been teasing this for a long time now and today we are happy to announce the first wrestler in the Dayton has joined the NWA Family. Unfortunately, he comes with his manager also.
To my displeasure this first man has been around for the past two years and made a huge impact on wrestling in Dayton. Uncle Simon. "Hello my friends. It's true, because J.L. said it is. I have joined the NWA! The biggest organization in the Dayton Area deserves a great manager such as myself, and you fans deserve to see, who else BUT ME! It is so, because I said it."
With Uncle Simon, It was also announced today that he has signed Daemon Daniels to the House Of Simon Enterprises.
"This will be the biggest and baddest House of Simon ever! If you don't believe me, you never will. I'm coming to NWA for one thing, to dominate and take not only the Heroes of Wrestling GCW Championship, but the NWA Championship. Blue Demon Jr, and Bobby Fulton, you are currently on notice, I have a huge surprise for you two!"
You'll only see these stars in the Dayton area at NWA Heroes of Wrestling Gem City Wrestling!!!!

A couple of quick updates here on Gem City Sports Showcase. We finish up our run of the year with Shockwave Impact Wrestling. If you haven't seen the Semi main event and the main event from the Roberd's Market, then this is a must see. Semi Main event is a match featuring Lightning Tim Lutz vs. Chad Cross for the Iron Man Championship. The Main event is a tag team elimination match, the last two remaining guys fight on for the SWI Heavyweight Championship. In that match, you have The Madness Chris Hall and Daemon Daniels with the House of Simon Enterprises taking on Chris The Kid McGraw and Dave Crist of ROH, ECW fame. This match alone is a must see, we had to cut it up into four parts to make you, the fans had the chance to see the match in it's entirety.

We have added a Gem City Sports Showcase Archive button on the right hand side at the bottom of the show page. We are back dating the episodes from December 4th, through today's episode. We will begin logging the back catalog in the next few weeks.

Nighthawk Entertainment Announces New Television Partner

"After much consideration and meetings within Nighthawk Entertainment. We regret to inform the fans that Nighthawk Entertainment will no longer bring them Gem City Sports Showcase through DATV, nor the MVCC. While this is not a big hit to the Dayton (proper) market, it was a big loss to the Miami Valley. However, we will never let our fans down. and we welcome everyone to get ready for a revolution." J.L. Thrush said earlier today.

"After negotiations with local media outlets, We have signed an agreement with WDTN, NBC channel 2, to begin airing Gem City Sports Showcase and NWA/Heroes of Wrestling presents Gem City Wrestling. Both shows will air on WDTN, Channel 2 starting in December 2009/January 2010. This will be the first time in over 20 years that WDTN has aired a weekly wrestling show that has been locality produce. WDTN is the leader when it comes to innovation and they are taking a chance on us and we will not let them down. I'm extremely happy to be working with them on this venture. Not only will we have wrestling from the NWA
but, during the Roller Derby season, we will also be airing Gem City Rollergirls. A lot of us can remember the power hour back in the 80's with roller derby and wrestling. Nighthawk Entertainment and NWA Heroes of Wrestling are committed to bringing that back once again."

The creators and producers of the highest-rated Independent wrestling television programming and the predominant wrestling association in the United States, NWA Heroes of Wrestling have come to terms on a merger to bring the fans of Dayton a new direction in Professional Wrestling.

NWA Heroes of Wrestling Presents Gem City Wrestling will begin very soon. "We will bring the fans a show that they have not seen in the Dayton area in quite some time. Something hard hitting and family oriented, with storylines that are easy to follow and talent from around the United States, not just the area." J.L. Thrush stated. "It will be wrestling like we used to watch on TV. With a high quality roster, and storylines you can believe in." Lash added.

This merger will benefit the Dayton area with a high quality wrestling product. Television will begin airing in December of January, and will featuring TV tapings, and a weekly TV show to air in the Dayton television market.
